2017 Annual Assembly: Community Keepers

About Community Keepers

You are invited to help in the ongoing design of this learning partnership by taking responsibility for one aspect of the process during this conference. Everyone belongs to one of four leadership groups, each group acting as stewards on behalf of the whole community.
Elect one or two leaders of your leadership group to keep everyone on task and ensure that your findings are posted on e-pbo.org! Decide your strategy for identifying and managing platform content and maximizing its benefit to the community.
There will be times set in the agenda during the conclusion of each day for your group to come together and consolidate your reflections. On day 3 your group will make recommendations to the plenary. The table below summarizes the role, guiding questions and outcomes of the community keepers.

Role of Community Keepers

You are responsible for identifying the most effective way for GN-PBO members to benefit from the network website.

  • Based on rountable discussions on Day 1, develop a strategic set of activities for the GN-PBO community and secretariat to follow for the next year.
  • Feel free to use formal processes (e.g. polls) or informal conversations during breaks to find out other people’s views.

Guiding Questions

  • Based on the discussions during two roundtables, what value network like GN-PBO bring to its members?
  • Should there be a peer review process for PBO products?
  • What should be the learning agenda for the network?
  • Is working group the best model to develop guidelines and frameworks?

  • A proposal of the group’s recommendations for strategic set of activities to maximize member benefit.

This outcome should be uploaded on the e-pbo.org site for everyone to review and provide feedback, as well as shared with the larger group on Day 3.

If needed, coordinate with an e-PBO Community Manager to create new content and sections on the portal.
