2015 Annual Assembly: Community Keepers

About Community Keepers

(Virtual) Community Keepers

You are invited to help in the ongoing design of this learning partnership by taking responsibility for one aspect of the process during this conference. Everyone belongs to one of five leadership groups, each group acting as stewards on behalf of the whole community.
Elect one or two leaders of your leadership group to keep everyone on task and ensure that your findings are posted on e-pbo.org! Decide your strategy for identifying and managing platform content and maximizing its benefit to the community.
There will be times set in the agenda during the conclusion of each day for your group to come together and consolidate your reflections. On day 6 your group will make recommendations to the plenary. The table below summarizes the role, guiding questions and outcomes of the community keepers.

Role of Community Keepers

You are responsible for identifying the most effective way for GN-PBO members to benefit from the network website.

  • Review the documents and classifications currently on the site.
  • Develop a strategic set of guidelines for the GN-PBO community and secretariat to follow when organizing website content.
  • Feel free to use formal processes (e.g. polls) or informal conversations during breaks to find out other people’s views.

Guiding Questions

  • What type of content should the website contain and how should it be organized in order to facilitate easy access for GN-PBO members? How should documents be classified and tagged? What is the privacy agreement for sharing documents within and external to the membership?
  • Should each GN-PBO Member country have its own page and if so, what would that page contain? Who will provide the content? What is the timeline?
  • Based on the information provided in the online registration form, should there be an “experts” roster on the site and if so, what data should it include?
  • What other functionalities would you propose the GN-PBO community use on the website – blogs? FAQ section? Who will provide regular content?

  • A proposal of the group’s recommendations for organizing website content and maximizing member benefit.

This outcome should be uploaded on the e-pbo.org site for everyone to review and provide feedback, as well as shared with the larger group on Day 6
